The C.O.E. numbered location sign markers start on the east end of the lake (Point 1) and move west on South bank crossing to north side at east end – then moving east down the north side.
So you have Point 1 and point 50 across from each other at the east end of lake. There are a total of 50 numbered signs on the lake.

Lake Ouachita is a Corps of Engineers island-filled Reservoir in Arkansas of 40,000 + acres. The Lake has abundant vegetation with an underwater forest.

Located in the Ouachita National Forest, Ouachita has virtually no shoreline development, which adds to its scenic appeal. The main river feeding the lake is the Ouachita River. Three other major tributary’s, the South Fork in the Twin Creeks Area and the North Fork, East of Irons Fork Camp grounds, and the Irons Fork River.

Major creek feeds include Big and Little Blakeley, Cedar Creek, Crystal Springs, Pollard, and Bear.
